About Us
MudPi Studios was born from the creative passions of Lori Baker and is currently located in Woodbine, MD. An engineer by trade, Lori Baker received a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1986 from the University of Akron and a Masters of Science in Computer Science in 2002 from James Madison University. In order to promote and expand her love of clay, Lori has studied at Baltimore Clayworks and the Columbia Art Center.
MudPi Studios pieces are created from stoneware and reflect Lori’s love of texture, color, and form. Lori experiments with hand-built and wheel thrown work and enjoys engineering new forms that draw on the simplicities and complexities of nature.
